When your mind and body are constantly on edge because of excessive stress in your life, you may find yourself pre-disposed to serious health problems. That's because your body's "fightor-flight reaction" — its natural alarm system — is constantly on.
When you encounter perceived threats, example as when a large dog barks at you during your morning walk, your hypothalamus, a tiny region at the base of your brain, sets off an alarm system in your body. Through a combination of nerve and hormonal signals, this system prompts your adrenal glands, located atop your kidneys, to release a surge of hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol.
Adrenaline increases your heart rate, elevates your blood pressure and boosts energy supplies. Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, increases sugars (glucose) in the bloodstream, enhances your brain's use of glucose and increases the availability of substances that repair tissues.
Cortisol also curbs functions that would be nonessential or detrimental in a fight-or-flight situation. It alters immune system responses and suppresses the digestive system, the reproductive system and growth processes.
This complex natural alarm system also communicates with regions of your brain that control mood, motivation and fear. In my early life I encountered continual extreme stress for a period of about four years. At the age of 22, when my life was pretty well stabilized I experienced a rapid growth encounter. At the age of 21, I was 5’5” tall and wore a size six shoe; suddenly in a period of about 10 months I grew to a height of 5’8” tall, and found myself wearing a 7.5 shoe size.
The human body is supposed to stop growth at the age of 21 and yet after this age I encountered this rapid physical growth experience. Likewise, my son who is Autistic and due to this condition could not deal with stress in life experienced tremendous growth events between the ages of 20 and 21, growing 8 inches in each of those years.

The body's stress-response system is usually self-regulating. It decreases hormone levels and enables your body to return to normal once a perceived threat has passed. As adrenaline and cortisol levels drop, your heart rate and blood pressure return to baseline levels, and other systems resume their regular activities. But when the stressors of your life are always present, leaving you constantly feeling stressed, tense, nervous or on edge, that fight-or-flight reaction stays turned on. The less control you have over potentially stress-inducing events and the more uncertainty they create, the more likely you are to feel stressed.
Even the typical day-to-day demands of living can contribute to your body's stress response. The long-term activation of the stress-response system — and the subsequent overexposure to cortisol and other stress hormones — can disrupt almost all your body's processes.

Throughout time and historical texts, the higher conscious leaders throughout the world have realized that certain foods cause the body to react in a certain way. In many instances toxicity creates adverse side effects including, poor health, obesity, depression, agitation, emotional instability, and the death of the body’s cells.
Our bodies are designed to absorb and filtrate all incoming substances. I study many re

My Step Father used to beat me almost every night, one night he beat me so bad that I ran away. As I was running out the door, he told me never to come back.
Did you take anything with you, clothes, food, money?
No, there was no time for that. I had on jeans and a T-Shirt and just ran out the door after a really bad beating.
How did you survive on your own?
That first night I was picked up by a guy that took me to a restaurant to eat. Then he told me he had a house that he stayed at here when he was in town. He told me that I could stay in his house for free if I would take care of it while he was out of town.
Did you take him up on his offer?
For sure, I was excited to think that I finally had a home where I could be safe and able to stay in school. He stayed with me that first night and we watched TV and ate popcorn late into the morning. He did not try to have sex with me or anything that night and so I thought he was for real and that I would be safe.
You say thought, did something happen that changed your mind?
Yes, the second night after I had cleaned the house, I was tired and I decided to go to sleep early. At about 1:00 a.m. a man came into the bedroom where I was and said the man that let me stay there had said he could come and get a little.
What happened then?
That man raped me for three hours.
What were you thinking when this was happening?
I was afraid he was going to kill me, but I just kept waiting until I had the chance to run away. I stayed awake all night until I knew he was sound asleep and then I grabbed my clothes and ran out the door.

Homelessness influences every facet of a child’s life – from conception to young adulthood. The experience of homelessness inhibits the physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioral development of children. It is my hope in writing this blog that ALL people will begin to see that to value life is to give the living an opportunity to support themselves. To give children the awareness that they are not just the castaway numbers on some over-population chart.
We must begin to understand what helping one another is. We must move away from causing our society to be dependency based; rather we must create opportunities for all individuals to prosper and live happily by removing corrupted political and dependency based practices that do little more than continue to prop up failed concepts and systems.
Our children deserve better than what we are offering them in America today. Each one of us can make the change for the better if we discontinue supporting political agendas that remove our liberties and cause us to be a governmental dependency based society in America today.
My Final Thoughts…
I ask you to look around you today at our society, are we doing the right thing when we continue to vote into office these political leaders that offer no more than white washed speeches and politically agenda driven proposals that are driven by the very same motives that have created these tragic homeless statistics across America today?
Be the change you want to see in your own life; and through your life’s work and creations given and received, we as a society can – and will lift ourselves out of the suppressive rut we live in today.

HERE IS MY HOME REMEDY FOR TREATING ACNE
Every morning and night, wash your face using a mild dishwashing detergent that advertizes “removes grease.” I used an OXI dishwashing detergent when the acne was severe. Later I maintained the acne free results with Ivory Dishwashing Liquid.
If you have open sores related to your acne, don’t us a wash cloth so that you are not irritating the skin’s open sores. Simply lather your hands well and wash your face in a circular motion. Rinse first with warm water to remove the soap then rinse again with cold water to close the pores.
After washing, I recommend using Noxzema to moisturize the skin and leave a medicated protection on the surface of the skin. You can also use aloe Vera as an after wash moisturizer.
Remember this information is only given as a suggestion, it is not meant to replace any medical treatment for acne which you may now be receiving. It is simply presented as a cost effective alternative to many current acne treatment practices.

Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) is a chronic (meaning active and on-going), degenerative disease caused by insulin deficiencies due to the body being incapable of producing normal insulin levels. Diabetes also occurs when there is a predisposition to insulin resistance. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas to metabolize glucose, a form of sugar that is one of the primary sources of your cell’s energy supply.
Whether diabetes is caused by insulin resistance or a lack of insulin, the end result is the same: the body is unable to transport enough glucose from the bloodstream into the cells of the body.
Excess glucose in the blood causes a lot of problems. The cells can't get enough of the glucose they need, and when glucose levels in the blood become too high, it causes damage to nerves and blood vessels, usually in the feet, hands, kidneys and eyes. Other complications of high blood sugar and insulin resistance include increased risk of heart disease and stroke.

After 10 to 20 years of poor control of their blood sugars, many type 2 diabetics start having major
problems with skin wounds in their legs. Usually the problem at first is poor circulation in the veins of their legs. This complication of diabetes presents the opposite symptoms of the much more widely publicized condition known as peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
Diabetics who have venous insufficiency, (poor blood circulation) usually feel better when they get up and walk around. Walking makes their legs feel better. The poor circulation in the legs at first causes just a constant itch that is much worse after showering or heating the leg. Then the skin on the legs gets so dry that it turns brown. Usually a misadventure with a diabetic skin treatment product makes the legs break out in eczema, and then tiny holes in the skin get infected. The poor circulation under the legs makes them a prime target for bacterial infection.
Diabetic foot and leg ulcers can also be started by poorly fitted socks and shoes.
Footwear rubs against the skin and causes a blister. The blister is not noticed and is not treated, and it becomes infected. When the infection is limited to the skin, it is relatively easy to treat, but some infections take only a few days to penetrate muscles, tendons, and bones. Diabetics who have peripheral neuropathy may never feel initial pain from the infection.

First get rid of the foods that contribute to diabetes.
This may be hard for you, but you've got to immediately clear your pantry and refrigerator of sodas, high fructose juices and snacks, sugar, white rice, white flour, white bread and pasta etc.
These foods flood your blood stream with an unprecedented amount of sugar. This rapid flood of sugar puts a lot of strain on your pancreas - the maker of insulin that removes sugar from the blood stream. If you do not control this flood of sugar via your diet, the pancreas will eventually short circuit and produce less or even stop secreting insulin. The Western Diet is one that is heavily saturated with sugars, bleached flours, and carbohydrates; these foods confuse the pancreas causing it to think it needs to stop producing insulin.
Lose weight. Research shows that reducing your body weight by 5 percent to 10 percent - 10 to 20 pounds for someone who weighs 200 pounds - can cut your diabetes risk in half.
Eat right. Your diet should be rich in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy and lean protein sources. Limit foods high in saturated and trans fats, cholesterol, sodium and added sugars.
Exercise regularly. Work up to at least 30 minutes of exercise most days of the week; take an early morning walk. Just thirty minutes of walking can increase circulation and this in turn produces a sense of well-being. Always check with your doctor before you increase your activity level.
